Harnessing the power of stories in school CEIAG

Spring 2013

The Talking Jobs CEIAG learning materials have been mapped to the ACEG Framework, a key driver for schools and colleges working towards Investor in Careers and other quality awards.

Resource overview

Talking Jobs combines independently produced video case studies with learning activities mapped to the ACEG Framework for careers and work-related education at key stages 3, 4, post 16. The interviewees were nominated by their colleagues and employers and the materials cast through an online video player designed to help broaden horizons and challenge stereotypes. Talking Jobs was built to support school CEIAG activities in schools and one-to-one work with careers professionals. Ultimately it’s about encouraging young people to see what they can learn everyone in work, irrespective of role of background. Impartiality is a core component of the approach.
